The Collective | Maastricht Jazz Collective
We didn’t meet to play museum pieces! High-energy contemporary jazz built for modern dancefloors, underground basements, and festival main stages.
The Sound
Maastricht Jazz Collective was formed in Maastricht by five international players from Conservatorium Maastricht who wanted something more physical, immediate, and direct out of jazz.
Our live sets are dynamic journeys built around original writing, heavy broken-beat grooves, sharp modal horns, and the raw grit of late-night jam sessions. From intense, interlocking brass hooks to asymmetrical Balkan meters, our sound is made for listeners who want to feel the pulse, not just analyze it.
